Frequently asked questions
Got questions? We've got answers.
Can I add more hardener to speed up the cure?
Our resins are formulated to cure following the specified mixing ratio. Additional hardener won't speed up the cure, and, may cause issues with the repair or protection system.
What kind of surface preparation do I need?
As will all coatings, linings, and composites, a white metal blast is best with a suitable profile to promote the best adhesion. That said, it isn't always possible. Have a tough to prepare situation, give us a call.
What is the difference between your "fluid" and regular resin systems?
Our fluid grade resin systems are designed to be brushed, rolled, and sprayed with proper equipment. Whereas our regular resin systems are designed to be trowel or squeegee applied to build higher film thicknesses.
How thick (or thin) should I apply a lining?
A good rule of thumb for 100% solids linings is to apply a minimum of 15 mils in a single coat. Also, we recommend utilizing a (2) coat method to ensure 100% coverage and reduce the likelihood of pinholes in the lining. For immersion services, a spark test is recommended.
